Whalley: ‘It will take a good side to stop us’

ANDY WHALLEY says he has a good feeling about potential national success this season after helping Guernsey’s men to a thumping first round victory.

The island side would have felt that Marlow would provide a tough test in the re-branded Tier Two Championship, but the Sarnians were emphatic 7-0 away winners.

Sam Dawes netted a hat-trick in the rout, while Zak Damarell, Steve Waldrom, Whalley and Nairn Guilbert all also scored as a second-round berth was secured.
